Trex Composite Fencing vs Other Composites 1

Genuine Trex

Since 1996, Trex has invented, defined and perfected composite outdoor living materials with a lineup of low-maintenance, high-performance products that fundamentally change the way we live outdoors. Many composite manufactures have come and gone over the years as Trex continues to grow and improve. Trex is the leading manufacturer of wood composite outdoor products in the world. It is important to choose a company that will be around as long as your warranty and as long as your fence is supposed to, that’s why we recommend Trex Fencing over other composite manufactures.

TREX HAS INTERLOCKING PICKETS THAT PREVENT BOWING AND WARPING

Unlike other composite fence products that have only a stockade type or a tongue and groove type picket, Trex Fencing pickets are made with a unique interlocking design that reduce bowing and warping. This design also eliminates gaps which are prevalent in other composite fences and that occur from contraction and expansion.

TREX DOES NOT NEED WOOD INSERTS OR SUPPORTS

Unlike other composite fences, Trex fencing does not use or need wood inserts or supports. Many composite fencing products require the use of wood posts and rails, while other manufactures use wood inside of their composite posts and rails. Whatever the case, this defeats the purpose of a composite fence. When wood is used, the fence is susceptible to rotting, warping and twisting as well as insect damage. Trex Composite Fencing stands on its own without the need and support of wood inserts.

TREX IS A FULL COMPOSITE SYSTEM

Many composite manufactures produce a thin picket that can be used in place of a wood picket. However, few if any have produced a viable solution for a full composite fence system except for Trex. Trex Fencing system has a stand alone, wind rated, composite fence post with post cap, a molded one piece top rail and interlocking pickets. Trex Fencing is the solution when it comes to composite fencing.

Trex Composites are not only backed by a 25 year warranty but the Trex Seclusions Fence is also rated for a 130 mph sustained winds and 147 mph gusts at 6′ tall, the most common fence height.  Trex Fencing not only stands up to the competition, but they will also remain standing while others falter.

Trex Composite Fencing is also Eco-Friendly.

Trex is doing its part to leave a smaller carbon footprint. Trex Composite Fencing is made of 95% recycled product, boasting the highest reclaimed content in a composite product.  Other composites are made of much less recycled content or manufactured from virgin materials. At Trex, sustainability doesn’t just stop with the product itself. Local sourcing, green manufacturing processes and state-of-the-art facilities are all contributors to Trex’s vision of creating a responsible contribution to economic growth.
